Hope For Six, but God Gave Seven

I am the oldest of eight children, and for as long as I can remember, I have wanted six children of my own. My husband also shares that desire. When we had four, we thought we could have no more; but God blessed us with number five, so now we feel that we can still Hope for Six. NOTE: I became so connected to the phrase Hope for Six that it almost seems strange to think of myself as the mom of seven children, but God has indeed seen fit to give us not one more child, but two!

On the Hunt Again

We think it's time. The chill is in the air. Thanksgiving is nearly here. The snow has begun, and we hear it will be heavier than last year. It is time to look at houses again. Someone out there wants to sell their house before winter. Someone must have a home that will meet our needs - and maybe a few wants.
We had resigned ourselves to shoveling this long driveway. To finding a spot to put our Christmas tree. To unpacking craft projects. And now Mike has decided to look again.
Perhaps this time we will find the one God has for us. I hope so.
