My baby is growing up. I have to accept it, because I simply cannot stop it, or even slow it down!
She wants to grow. She is enjoying her development just as much as we enjoy her. She wants to be one of us.
She loves to sit at the table with us during meal times, and bang on the table. She tries to grab food, silverware or plates if we happen to leave any within reach. She loves sitting up because it makes her more like one of us. She is trying hard to figure out how to move across the floor so that she can move around like we do. She loves to do things with us, like read books, sing songs, and take walks.
Am I that interested in growing? Am I that interested in improving myself? Do I spend time every day trying to become more like my Father? Do I watch Him constantly to learn how to do things? Am I showing signs of growth? Do I truly want to be more like Him, or do I think it's too much work?
My baby is consumed with her growth and development.
Does my growth as a Christian consume me?

It should, and mine doesn't. I have been so wrapped up in one thing arfter the other that I don't stop often enough and think of Him. A lot of the time it is you who reminds me. Don't forget the ways that you are blessing others even when you don't know it!
I took the debt proof living book with me today to re=read because I am such a bad friend and hadn't returned it yet. But I think that's because I needed to read it twice!
I have a little bit of news I haven't told everyone yet...I got a call from our lawyer today while at the salon with Cass and we got our tentative date for finalization on Nove 13!! After over 2 years of waiting, God's plan is coming together!! I am waiting for the court docs to come in the mail tomorrow then we sign and send backa nd The lawyers call me to confirm the date is still available!!
Gosh I wish we lived closer!!!
Hugs sister!!!
Whoa, I'm blown away by her development...she's only 2 weeks older than R2 and he's not doing most of that stuff! Not sitting... reaching out toward things but not really able to grab hold of stuff yet... he's rolled once, but only once...pivots around on his back but not really trying to move around much yet...don't ever take for granted your children's healthy development! (I'm not saying you do...) :-)
KH, they all develop so differently! I haven't had one develop this quickly since my first, and she's actually a bit quicker even than her, so far.
My second still couldn't sit up at 6 months, and had just learned to laugh and roll over!
This one's a handful for sure.:-) And you're right, I don't take any of it for granted!
