I've noticed lately that our moods can really influence our energy levels and productivity. They also influence how well we take bad news or adverse circumstances.
And what is our mood, really? Isn't it our attitude? Don't we honestly have more control over our moods than we'd like others to believe? How is it that one day I can cheerfully whistle while I work, happily hugging my children as they go by, encouraging everyone with kind words; and yet another day I have to drag myself around to do what needs to be done, snap at every noise the kids make, and don't even think of encouraging anyone?
Now, I'm not saying that it's possible to completely change one's mood by thinking the right thoughts, but it's possible to at least partly change it!
If you wake up in a sour mood, or something bad happens to waylay your plans, try thinking about happy things. Try encouraging someone or hugging someone. Smile and tell someone you love them, and see if your mood doesn't change. And a better mood means those around you will be happier and productive, and you will be happier and more productive, and God will be glorified in your life.
Blessings.
